Boy, Age 11, Charged With Killing Pregnant Woman

An 11-year old boy has been charged with killing a pregnant woman in western Pennsylvania.

The woman's five-year old daughter found her body Friday morning in a bedroom in their farmhouse in Wampum, which is near Pittsburgh. She had been shot.

State police say the girl ran outside and told tree-cutting workers, who called 911. The boy was arrested just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police do not know yet if the boy and 26-year old woman are related.

The boy was charged with criminal homicide and criminal homicide of an unborn child. The woman was eight months pregnant.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Thursday.

He isn't going to get charged with murder. He's a kid. The whole deal is messed up. Both children involved will need some serious therapy for the rest of their lives. The parents of the boy should have known something was up with him and should have gotten him help a long time ago. This all could have been prevented.

I need some clarification. If U yourself kill your unborn child--- it's called abortion & it's leagal, after all it's just a fetus.(oh, that's only if the mother wished to be rid of the baby, if a father does, that's murder too) But, on the other hand, if someone else kills it, it's murder because it is an "unborn child". Isn't this a bit like having your cake and eating it too? Come on people U can't have it both ways.!Personally I don't believe in abortion. I believe life begins at conception, but our laws are judging the killing of an unborn child by a double standard!I'm not saying that what this kid did was right either, It was VERY wrong. I'm just sayin'......

Okay, so how do we actually know that the boy and the women were related? Let's back up a second before we rush into things.

It should make no difference whether the mother was cruel or not. If she was then the boy could have reported it to a teacher. The fact that the boy was 11 is disturbing and it is terrible that the little girl found her mother. I like others, would like more facts about this. It is just a tragic tragic thing! the story does indicate that the boy was charged with TWO counts of negligent homicide. Ie. the mother and the unborn child. Negligent homicide not murder...? there is more to this story than we know.

I say the child knew what he was doing. If he is big enough to commit the crime, then he is big enough to face the punishment.

Alright, so if he is being charged with homicide on the part of the child, why is it still legal to perform aboritons? Its completely legal to medically kill a child? but when someone else kills the child they can count it as murder? And Mom, you can Abort at 8 months. You just have to know who to talk to because there are legal clinics that will perform a late term abortion illegally.

If we as a country would punish these people for what they do, just hold them accountable for there actions, all this crime would decline. I mean if more people would be put to death for there crimes I promise things would get better. No more probation or small jail sentences, slaps on the wrists. Take action. "eye for an eye"

Stopping a beating heart is murder. If the child did it, he committed double murder. Prolife regardless of the liberal cronies.

If this killing was intentional, I wonder if the Stepmom would have treated the little boy either unfair or like dirt. She could have been abusive to him before. If it was accidental, then there is some adult that would be at fault for letting the 11 year old even touch the gun without supervision. There is no telling if there was a motive or if it was just carelessness.
