Man Admits To Two Murders; Sentenced To Life Without Parole

One of three people arrested for the May 2007 murder of a Duplin County cab driver has pleaded guilty.

In court Wednesday, Brandon Rice actually pleaded guilty to two first degree murders. Rice admitted to killing Jessie Faison in May 2007, and for killing Earl Newton in Sampson County four months later. Authorities say the two murder were not connected.

He was given two life sentences and the district attorney says Rice is not eligible for parole.

Faison was shot twice in the head during a robbery and kidnapping. His son, Derrick Faison told the judge words can't express how tough this was, they just lay awake and cry. Faison says they try to hold on and stay strong for their mother.

The D.A. says charges remain against Rochel Dobson, Anthony Kenan and one juvenile.

I know they did a terrible thing but I knew Rochel Dobson and the juvenile and I agree with the Anonymous that said to pray for them. They weren't cruel people. They just did a very stupid and very terrible thing and I'm praying for them, and their families, and the victims families.

I know the families of these kids very well. It is a sad thing when you give all you can to rise your children, striving to bring them up right, and against evething you taught them, they end up doing things like this. I hate it for them but they should have knew better than committ a crime like this. The victim family will have to live as well without their love due to choices 3 people made unwisely. Prayer is what both of these families need, prayer warriors, start praying. If committ the crime you should serve the time though!!!

Leave it to Alpo to bring up a totally unrelated rape case from years ago when one of these pieces of dirt has already pleaded GUILTY. Who would plead guilty to murder if you didn't murder someone. If they are minorities and you don't have them on video and high qaulity digital photographs in the act of doing the crime, perma-victims like the Alpo female always think the "man" is framing up some poor minority for something that some skateboard riding white kids from the suburbs did. Your absolute lack of logic never ceases to amaze me but never surprises me either. It is a culture of victimhood that is obviously taught from home, church, school and community. I won't loose any sleep over any of these guys, including the ugly female one. I also will not loose any sleep because the Alpo is upset because of it.

I can't beleive that some of you are taking up for 3 people who for no reason took the life of a wonderful man who was a father, husband and grandfather. He was minding his own business when these three decided to take his life. They had no right to take this mans life and alter the lives of his family forever.Life in prison is really too good for them. maybe they should be shot in cold blood like they did him.I have no compassion for murderers.
