Questioning Begins In Arthur Little Murder Trial

The prosecution has begun questioning witnesses in the Arthur Little trial.

He's the New Bern man accused of gunning down Anthony Jones in a U.S. Cellular parking lot more than two years ago.

Jones' girlfriend Tanya Wilson took the stand today and broke down just before a short recess.

She said Jones met her at the cell phone store on June 13th 2006 to buy a new phone.

Both sides agree Little shot Jones, the defense says it was not murder in the first degree, the defense says Little feared for his life.

Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a New Bern man indicted for a June 2006 murder.

New Bern police say Arthur Little shot Anthony Jones on the afternoon of June 13th 2006 outside of US Cellular on Neuse Boulevard.

Police say Jones and his girlfriend were buying a cell phone, when little shot him in broad daylight. They say the two had a dispute prior to the shooting. Police say it was help from citizens that landed little behind bars.

If convicted of first degree murder, little faces life in prison without parole.
