Puppy Thrown From Second-Story Window

A teen is facing charges for a handful of crimes, including tossing a puppy from a second-story window.

Jermel Jamison, 19, of Courtyard Circle in Goldsboro has been arrested. Police say the investigation started when nine pit bull puppies were stolen from a home on Franklin St. in December.

Police say Jamison threw one of the puppies out of the second-story window when police were trying to get into his home. Police say they also found marijuana at Jamison's home. His bond was set at $4,000.

The puppy is okay.

There's no word on what happened to the other eight puppies reported stolen in December. Police say the investigation is continuing.

Lynnette Taylor talks to the puppy's owner, tonight on WITN News at 6:00.
