A four month long investigation into the use and sale of drugs by both civilians and military personnel has netted 14 arrests, and eight more are pending.
Operation Shark Attack began last September and focused on the beach areas of Onslow County along with Camp Lejeune and New River air Station.
As part of the investigation, authorities raided Wednesday the New York Corner Deli in Surf City and a home in North Topsail Beach. There they arrested three deli employees: Joey Hoffman, Billy Hoffman and Christopher Christensen on various drug charges.
Investigators say they are withholding the names of other people arrested so they can protect this ongoing operation.
To date lawmen have purchase or seized over 133 grams of marijuana, 46 dosages or prescription narcotics, 9.6 grams of powder cocaine, 11.8 grams of rock cocaine, and 3 units of ecstasy.
