Authorities are investigating an apparent meth lab found in the garage of a North Carolina home.
The Salisbury Post reported Thursday that a resident contacted Granite Quarry police about suspicious items in a garage. Authorities entered the garage Wednesday and found items consistent with a meth lab. Authorities say the owners of the home, Julian and Amy Eaton, had been renting it out, but mentioned that it had been empty for at least six months.
The investigation is continuing. Authorities said state Bureau of Investigation officials dismantled and removed the meth lab, and an environmental cleanup team removed the contaminated materials.
Granite Quarry is about 40 miles northeast of Charlotte.
