A Greenville man is under a $550,000 bond after his arrest Wednesday on drug and fugitive charges.
The Greenville Drug Task Force, assisted by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Johnny Byrd, Jr. at his home on Vancroft Circle.
Police say when arrested Byrd was found with two handguns, approximately 8 grams of cocaine, 12 doses of crack cocaine, 41 doses of ecstacy, and a small amount of marijuana.
Byrd is wanted in Maryland for felony probation violations. In Pitt County he's now charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with intent to sell & deliver crack cocaine, possession with intent to sell & deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell & deliver ecstacy, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
