There are many extremely sick people in this world. I cannot think of anything more damaging to a child than to be abused in this fashion or a myriad of others by the people who supposedly love you and are supposed to keep you safe from the evil in the world until such time as you can take care of yourself. What horror must come over a child when her own parents are doing heinous things to her/him. What an empty sense of helplessness must come over them. In their minds they have no place to go or no one to turn to. Can that mental damage ever really be undone? When I was a child, I always felt completely safe when I was with my parents. I cannot even begin to fathom what this child must be feeling, nor can I put myself in the place of the person or persons that will be dealt the hand of trying to somehow bring this child up with any sense of normalcy. This crime is of the utmost in mental derangement. They should NEVER be eligible for parole.

This story made me sick in my stomach. What a shame what people are turning in to. Jesus Loves Me, you almost got it right - she shouldn't have had a child by the husband, but she shouldn't have had a child in the first place. These people are unfit to be parents and both should be sterilized.

Anybody want to rethink that whole "we don't torture prisoners" thing. These are the people that torture was designed for. An eye for and eye.

This so called mother is a sick woman. She should have never had a baby by this man. This is why women these days need to think about it before they open their legs, you can't have a baby by just anyone. It is your responsability to make sure you have a proper father for your child. I will pray for this family that they may find peace and comfort. God Bless.

Allegedly this crime against the child has been committed by BOTH parents. The mother is in jail, and the father is eluding arrest. Many comments here on how Mom should have protected this child, and while that is true, let us not forget that the father had/has a moral obligation to protect this child as well. BOTH have failed her, miserably. They have inflicted pain in this kid that will never ever be healed. Lets all just pray that the child will be able to move on with her life, rather than perpetuate the abuse cycle. My prayers are with this child. Of all the harm that may come to someone in this life, NO ONE should ever have to wonder if that harm will come from their parents. Someone (family) will find this child, and show her the unconditional, pain free, love that she deserves.
