Stolen A/C Unit Brings Arrest

Two men who are accused of stealing an air conditioning unit didn't get very far Tuesday.

Greenville police say the unit was stolen from a home on Douglas Avenue. Officers were on the lookout for a blue car with an A/C unit bungee-corded in the trunk.

Police spotted the vehicle in front of California Closets on Dickenson Avenue. Inside they arrested the two men.

Charged with felony larceny is Velton Williams of Moore Street and Clinton Wilson who is homeless. Both are in jail under a $5,000 bond.

The dude will not be homeless anymore. And I'm sure finding food will be easier this time inside the jail. Meals 3 times a day-might need to give thanks to the taxpayers. LOL.

What idiots.. had to stop to talk to someone along the way. Lock em up and most likely the homeless person will be better off.
