UPDATE: Drug Suspect Surrenders

A suspected drug dealer has surrendered to police.

The Public Information Coordinator for the City of Havelock announced Tuesday that Marvin Powers, Jr. surrendered "without incident" at 4 p.m. Monday.

The 23-year-old was scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.

Police in one Eastern Carolina city need your help in finding a suspected drug dealer.

Havelock police say a raid Sunday at the home of Marvin Powers, Jr. netted them cocaine, marijuana, digital scales, and a semi-automatic pistol.

The 23-year-old wasn't at home when police raided the home on Bell Town Road. He's wanted on five different drug charges.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Powers should contact Havelock police at (252) 447-3212.

    Yeah TO ME, the food is catered by Aunt Bee. LoL. Seriously, jail should be such a living hell that no one wants to go there.

    Maybe you should lay off the TV shows! Jail's are not like that everywhere! I know of a jail that get's there food catered by a resturant!! They should eat slop in my opinion! TV, PFFFTTT.. They should NEVER SEE A TV while in jail.. Give them a book, and a mattress!

    LOL you believ that crap you see on tv? Ive talked to quit a few people about jail. I have quite a few cop friends, so maybe you should try not to take tv shows to seriously since obviously I know what I am talking about. You shouldnt believe all that movie jive you see. Yeah, some places are dangerous, but not all of them. lol You are hilarious. Good luck being so oblivious. Hope the "Easter Bunny" comes to see you! :-)

    To jailer: Your comment can not be taken seriously....Have you ever been to jail? Obviously NOT, when a lot of the inmates have to fend for their lives. And what they are eating in there is just that SLOP. I have never been, but I have heard a lot of stories. Do you ever watch Lock Up Raw? Maybe you should if you think inmates have so many Privileges....

    Yeah, so now he can sleep in a warm bed in jail, have hot meals, read books, play games, watch tv....Yeah...he sure is being punished. I think JAIL should be an EMPTY cell and they eat SLOP. NO privelages.
