Rash Of Robberies Under Investigation

Pitt County Sheriff's office is investigating what seems to be a rash of violent robberies in Greenville during the past few days and they're all within miles of each other.

The latest one was on Christmas Eve.

Pitt County Sheriff's office say a couple was robbed and then assaulted in their home on Rebecca Day Road.

Authorities say three armed men broke in forcing 22 year-old Asenia Juarez to hide in the closet.

She would end up being shot in both arms. Her husband Rigoberto who is 24, was also shot through the hand while trying to protect her.

A third resident Romaldo Lopez 20, was pistol-whipped.

All three were treated and released from PCMH.

I am beginning to worry about continuing work in Greenville. I hate that stupid, unsafe town. I have a concealed permit but can not carry concealed to work as I am on state property. Mace just doesn't cut it these days. So what do we do next? Take a class on how to defend ourselves. This is really getting out of hand.
