Rash Of Robberies Hit Greenville

Greenville Police are investigating a rash of robberies in the landings apartments formerly known as The Exchange.

According to Police over the past week, several residents have reported items stolen from their homes.

They say that most of the items taken have been trendy electronic items like flat screen TVs and WI game systems.

Unfortunately they say these sort of robberies are common this time of year.

A robbery in Greenville is about as common as the sun rising from the east.

Dave why did you post that comment when you know there have already been surgeons doing operations for longer than I have been living? To be rude again? As an ECU alumni and a person who has been to some parties at the exchange, I am certainly one who is wondering how did there become so many breakins at a GATED and expensive apartment complex in the nice part of Greenville also close to a very nice Tucker Estates Subdivision. Greenville is just not a safe place to be around at all.

for what the pay at those outrageously expensive apartments, renters insurance should be included...

The police should return to the stakeout squads like NYPD had years ago. Put thier officers that are the best shots on the team and let it be known that they will be staking out these places of business. And then change places often so the potential robbers will never know for sure which stores are being covered on any particular day. This should be somewhat of a deterrent.

Yes robbery is a reoccurring theme in Greenville but that does not make it any better. I feel bad for those affeected by the heartless people who did this. Many people living in the apartment complex are students and it is hard enough right now to pay the bills (just like for many other people)and go to school without having to worry that your home may be violated at any moment. I just thank that no one was hurt during the incidents.

"Unfortunately these sort of robberies are common", so what else is new. How about a shotgun squad ?

What, a robbery in Greenville? What's next, surgeons performing operations?
