Washington Business Robbed

Police are looking for the person who robbed a local insurance company in the middle of the business day.

Pamlico Insurance located off of 5th Street in Washington was held up shortly after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Washington police dispatched the K-9 unit to find the robber who police say lost some of the money running away from the scene.

This is the first time the insurance company has been robbed.

In Washington, I doubt they find suspect. I know the owners, they are so wonderful and I am saddened this happened.

Police have not provided a description of a suspect. Oftentimes descriptions that are provided...white male in his 20's with brown hair...are so vague they don't really help identify a suspect. We usually include descriptions when there is an outstanding feature that truly will help identify a suspect.

If I was a business owner I would invest in a silent alarm system. I had one in my pocket when I was a gas attendent at a Hess Gas Station back in New Jersey in 1974 all you had to do was push the button on a little clicker. I had to use it only once 2 guys got into a fight at the gas pump. The cops were there in less then a few minutes. O in NJ you cannot pump your own gas. I am glad nobody got hurt. I hope the police get this low life.

Why doesn't WITN give a profile of the person who robbed the place. The same is true for every story including the robbery in Greenville today. We need to be on the look out for these people. No just hear about.
