Arrest Made In Death Of Arkansas Anchorwoman

Police in Arkansas have arrested a man in the beating death of a popular television anchorwoman last month.

Little Rock detective Mat Nelson says 28-year-old Curtis Lavelle Vance was arrested Wednesday night, but he did not have details.

Earlier Wednesday, police charged Vance with capital murder but offered neither a motive behind the attack nor details about why they suspected him.

Police Chief Stuart Thomas said Vance had fled his Marianna home with a woman and three young children. Vance was believed to be armed.

Twenty-six-year-old Anne Pressly died Oct. 25, five days after being severely beaten in her home. The anchorwoman's mother found a half-hour before she was due on KATV's "Daybreak" program after she didn't answer her wake-up call.

Another criminal not prosecuted by the justice system, but prosecuted by the public acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

No Rob, no foam, no blood, just want to see a little needle hole on the inside of this animals arm. I'd rather see smoke rising above a chair but people like you think that is inhumane. I'll settle for the needle, just do it soon!

Can anyone give me just one example of a black person being prosecuted for a hate crime? Are they not capable?? or is our society so steeped in political correctness that we overlook the obvious in an attempt to massage the self-esteem of those who make a living by being victims.

This guy needs the death penalty. I have followed this story since the attack happened and am pleased that this murderer was caught. God bless the victim's family.
