Deputies in one Eastern Carolina county are looking for a man who fired on them after a home invasion Thursday morning.
Corey Cox is wanted for four counts of kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, burglary, felony possession of marijuana and assault with a deadly weapon on a government official.
Deputies say Cox and three other men burst into a home on Merrimon Road in the North River community, assaulted those inside and bound them with duct tape.
As the men were leaving, deputies arrived and attempted to stop their vehicle. One of the fleeing suspects fired three shots at deputies.
Three of the four suspect were apprehended. Donte Johnson, 26, of Beaufort, Jerard Cherry, 19, of Cove City, and Shondale Bryant, 24, of New Bern are in jail on a half million dollar bond.
Deputies seized $17,000 in cash, a quarter pound of marijuana, a handgun and a sawed off shotgun.
Cox should be considered armed and dangerous.
