A kitten is recovering from surgery and waiting to be adopted after officials say some teenagers used it like a football.
A Kingsland, Georgia vet says Polly the kitten is lucky to be alive. The cat was only several weeks old when a group of teenager severely abused him, kicking him like a football.
One of Polly's had a shoulder that was ripped away from the body and had nerve damage in the leg. The leg had to be amputated. However, the vet says Polly should be fine and will live a normal life with three legs. The kitten is now up for adoption.
Police are still investigating the abuse. There have been no arrests.
