Four Injured In Goldsboro Shootings

Four people were injured in two separate shootings in Goldsboro overnight.

The first shooting was reported at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.. Police say 26-year-old Vanradius Fields and 27-year-old Shawn Holmes were shot at Headquarters Barbershop on E. Ashe Street.

Witnesses tell WITN the shooting was the result of an argument during a rap battle that was taking place at the barbershop.

Both victims were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital to be treated. No word yet on their conditions.

The second shooting happened a short time later at Party Central on Corporate Drive in Goldsboro.

According to authorities, 20-year-old Michael Sawyer and 17-year-old Christah Battle were at a graduation party when shots were fired by an unknown gunman around 2:20 a.m.

Both were struck by bullets. Sawyer was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries. Battle was treated and released.
