Police say they have solved two holdups at convenience stores, as their suspect was about to rob another store.
Keith Jones of Greenville has been charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping.
Chief Hassan Aden says his officers were conducting surveillance Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. at the Trade Wilco at 502 SW Greenville Boulevard.
They say Jones appeared to be watching the store from a nearby business and took off as detectives approached him. After a brief foot chase, Jones was captured by officers.
His vehicle was found nearby and officers say inside they found a mask that was used in the other two robberies. Chief Aden says a robbery was imminent last night.
Jones is accused of robbing the Trade Wilco at Memorial and Country Club Drive on Sunday, and the Kangaroo on Greenville Boulevard Monday night.
Aden says the man confessed to the holdups and that he could be connected to more cases.
The 23-year-old has numerous prior felony drug charges and a weapon violation.
He's in jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
