Deputies are looking for the person or persons who broke into 15 vehicles on Piney Neck Road in Vanceboro over the weekend.

The vehicle break-ins happened overnight on Friday into Saturday morning. Captain Joe Heckman with the Craven County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle doors were unlocked.

Money, sunglasses, GPS devices, and possibly some weapons were reported stolen from the vehicles.

Heckman says they do want to remind people in the community to keep their vehicle doors locked.

Deputies continue to investigate.
