Police say they found wild animals and deplorable conditions inside a man's home after complaints of drug activity and illegal gun sales at the residence.
Mark Baker Junior is the one facing charges.
Elizabeth City narcotics agents and a SWAT team found baker, another adult and a small child in the home.
Two dozen guns were scattered in one room of the residence, one of them stolen and two of them had serial numbers filed off of them.
Officials say one of the bedrooms in the home contained 11 dogs, 2 wild squirrels, 2 snakes and a guinea pig. The floor of that room was covered in animal feces and there was a rodent and bug infestation.
The 29-year-old Baker was jailed on a $15,000 bond and will appear before a judge Friday.
