A milestone on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has closed above the 13,000 level for the first time ever.

It finished the day up 136 points at 13,089. The Nasdaq and S&P also closed up. Once again, earnings moved the market with Pepsi, Corning and Dow Component Boeing all beating their financial forecasts.

Roughly two-thirds of the companies that have reported earnings so far have been in line with or higher than analyst expectations. Investors also seemed to shrug off a big increase in oil prices.
