FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Early Taste of Spring....
Spring fever will be in the air through Friday with highs in the lower to middle 70s each day. We should see lots of sunshine with those warm temperatures on Thursday. A cold front will approach the area Friday afternoon, bringing a good chance at scattered showers as well as a thunderstorm or two from midday Friday into the evening hours. Cooler temperatures will follow the front with highs in the lower to middle 50s over the weekend under mostly sunny skies.
FORECAST:
Thursday: Early clouds to partly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs will climb into the lower to mid 70s, with southwesterly winds at 10-15+ mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy and mild. Lows: 53-57. Southwest wind at 5 to 10 mph.
BEACH AND BOATING FORECAST:
Winds will blow from the southwest at 10 to 20 knots Thursday increasing to 15 to 25 knots Friday. Swells will be from 3 to 5 feet over the offshore waters. The beaches will see waves of about 2 to 4 feet. The Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds will be around 1 to 2 feet.
