22-Year-Old Stuck In Car Near Railroad Tracks In Cove City

A woman is expected to survive a crash that put her in a dangerous predicament Sunday.

Trooper M.A. Riggs said around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, 22-year-old Ashley Moore had a seizure while driving on Old 70 just outside Cove City in Craven County.

Riggs said Moore lost control of her vehicle and it ended up in a ditch between the roadway and the railroad tracks.

Once EMS arrived on-scene, they had to work past locked doors to extract Moore, who troopers said was conscious and talking on her way to the hospital.

Moore was airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she is expected to recover.
