I met Alan while he was working a case of mine for some stolen goods. He was very nice and respectfull . It was as if the property was his and he would do what ever it took to find my stuff.I wish that all of law enforcement was as professional as Alan was to me and my family. He will be greatly missed. This should be a wake up call to the people of Lenoir Co. that we should stand be hind our law enforcement and help those in need. Next time it could be your son! My wife and I have two kid's and I could not think of anything worse than having to bury one of my kid's. Sorry for your loss of such a kind and caring son.

Aunt Joy and Kelly, Brian and I could not physically be there at your time of need, but our thoughts and prayers were with you throughout. May you find peace with God's plan and know that we all loved Allen and will miss him very much. Our family is strong and we will recover, but there will be a missing piece with Allen gone. He now resides in heaven with our Lord. I know that Granny and Granddaddy were there to welcome him home, as they will be there waiting for each of us. Allen's passing has left a hole that has been partially filled with all the love and support of his fellow officers, the community, and a country that prays for you and him. All my love and prayers, Tracy, Brian, Jacob and Jared

This was such a tragic loss. I work in a facility like the one he was trying to protect people from getting hurt and he died trying to save someone else. My heart goes out to the family, friends, and co-workers of Detective Pearson.
