Researchers Say Carteret County Faces One Of The Highest Risks For 2007 Hurricanes

Posted: 05/23/2007 - A new report says Carteret County, leads the nation with a 22-point-four percent probability of being struck by hurricane-force winds. That's the highest probability in the nation. Eight of the top 20 counties for risk are in North Carolina. The report also says counties along the North Carolina and South Carolina coasts face substantially higher-than-normal risks for hurricanes in 2007.
