Wreck Clogs Greenville Traffic

Two people were thrown from the back of a pickup when it was hit by a car Friday on East 10th Street/ Hwy 33 at Portertown Road about 5:45 p.m. Police say a red Pontiac Firebird hit the truck when the truck made a left turn in front of the car.

Police say the 2 people in the back of the silver Dodge pickup had minor injuries. They and one other person were taken to Vidant Medical Center with minor injuries.

Traffic was detoured through the Food Lion parking lot for about an hour.
