TROOPERS: Woman Extracted From Car, Flown To Hospital

A woman is flown to the hospital after a crash Saturday morning in Craven County.

According to Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a silver Honda Accord on Brices Creek Road toward New Bern when she went across the centerline and off the roadway to the left. The woman then hit a tree.

Troopers received the call at 8:51 a.m.

The closest local road near the crash is Ducks Way, according to troopers.

Authorities say the woman had to be extracted from the vehicle. She was flown to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where her condition is unknown.

Troopers do not suspect any alcohol was involved. The crash remains under investigation.
