Beaufort County Woman Charged With Setting Fire To Own Home

A woman has been arrested for setting fire to the home she lived in.

Mary Walker of Blounts Creek has been charged with second degree arson.

Beaufort County deputies say last March the home on Main Street Extension in Edward caught fire. Volunteers put out the fire, but 10 minutes later were called back to the house again. Deputies were notified because of the suspicious nature of the fire starting back up.

The 30-year-old woman was served with the arson warrant while in jail on unrelated charges. Her bond was set at $20,000.
