Woman Accused Of Stealing Identity Of Marine

Deputies say a Jacksonville woman is accused of stealing the identities of one service member, while writing worthless checks to another.

Samantha Bowser, who deputies say has three aliases, was charged with 13 counts of identity theft, 24 counts of obtaining property by false pretense, 13 counts of financial card forgery, a worthless check charge, and two counts of worthless check on a closed account.

Jones County deputies say the woman is accused of stealing the identity of an active duty Marine who is the mother of three children, and writing worthless checks to an active duty member of the Coast Guard.

Deputies say Bowser used to live in Jones County with one of the victims and had been involved in some type of personal relationship with the other.

She was released on a $50,000 bond on Wednesday.
