Woman Accused Of "Doctor Shopping" For Oxycodone

A Carteret County woman is behind bars after deputies say she went "doctor shopping" for Oxydodone.

Carol Davison of Newport is charged with five counts of trafficking Oxycodone, five counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and four counts of medical assistance recipient fraud.

Deputies say the 43-year-old woman was arrested last Tuesday after a month long investigation.

Davison remains in jail on a $65,000 bond.
