An afternoon accident in Winterville sent at least two people to the hospital, according to dispatchers.
Pitt County Communications says the accident happened around 1:33 Sunday afternoon on Highway 11 and Beacon Drive. Dispatch tells WITN that at least two people were taken to Vidant Medical Center for their injuries. It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident or the extent of the injuries of those involved.
We’re told that the accident scene has been cleared.
