People describe a tornado that was "jumping" as it twisted through. That likely explains why George Dickens home was spared the same fate of the barn in his back yard.

Twisted and snapped limbs also littered the yard around Dickens' home off Highway 64 alternate in Conetoe. Dickens says it's as if the tornado jumped over his home.

About 5 miles away on Mooring Road, Robert Branch's mobile home came under attack.

"I went to the back and it started tearing the roof off the back," Branch told WITN. "I was in the middle of the hall and my bathroom was there and I needed to get somewhere safe. I just jumped in the bathtub and held on. It took the roof off the bathroom and I just held it out and hold on tight!"
