Washington Man On Probation Arrested For Pitt County Burglary

A homeowner awoke to a burglar in the middle of the night, but deputies say they have the intruder in custody.

Jaquan Jones, 19, of Washington, is charged with First Degree Burglary, Larceny After Breaking and Entering, Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Larceny.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says Jones broke into a home in the Windsor subdivision off Corey Road around 2:30 a.m. On April 22. Stolen was a tv from the garage and items from inside a vehicle.

Deputies developed Jones as a suspect, and he was arrested Monday at his probation officer's office in Washington. His bond is set at $233,000.
