A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
Light southerly winds will continue to transport warmer air into eastern Carolina on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s under partly cloudy skies. Warm conditions will continue through Friday with a risk showers and storms by Friday evening. The showers and storms should end Saturday morning followed by much cooler air for the weekend.
