Saturday's Rainfall Totals And Sunday's T-Storm Chances

By  |

A stationary front across northeastern North Carolina combined with increasing moisture will lead to a better chance of showers and storms over the rest of the weekend. Thunderstorms will be scattered with brief heavy downpours on Sunday and Monday. Activity will continue through the afternoon, but slowly weaken after sunset. Most of these thunderstorms will be below the severe weather threshold. Minor flooding could result due to the storms as localized rainfall could be heavy.

The coast will see only isolated shower activity both days. Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 80s with 60s at night. Little change is expected as we go into early next week.

Saturday's Rainfall Totals:
Washington: 0.48"
Greenville Airport: 0.33"
Jacksonville: 0.13"
New Bern: 0.11"
