UPDATE: Man Charged In Kinston Shooting, 2 Counts Attempted Murder

A man is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder after Kinston Police say he shot 2 men in front of his home Sunday morning.

About 2:45 p.m. Monday the Investigative, Gang, and Narcotics Unit arrested 18-year-old Colby Wilson who lives in the 1500 block of Hyman Avenue where two men where found with gunshot wounds in the street Sunday morning. 22-year-old Enricoh Rufus and 24-year-old Dontae Fordham were transported to Vidant Medical Center via ambulance.

Wilson is charged with 2 counts each of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He's also charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits. He was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $1 million bond.

Two people are recovering after being shot early Sunday morning.

Kinston police say they got the call around 7:15 a.m. for a shooting in the 1500 block of Hyman Avenue.

There they found Enricoh Rufus, 22, and Dontae Fordham, 24, lying in the street.

Both men were taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment.

Police say no one has been arrested for the shootings.
