The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says they're still not getting any cooperation following a weekend shooting that injured two people.
Between 75 to 100 people were at the party at 6127 Stantonsburg Road in Pitt County Saturday for a holiday celebration. Then around 3:50 that morning, two people were gunned down.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Christy Wallace says when they got there the victims had already left the scene and were taken by private vehicle to the hospital and when they went to interview them at the hospital Tuesday they had already been discharged.
The victims are 23-year-old Travarus McMillian who was shot three times, and 32-year-old Chavier Harris, who was shot once.
While no one is talking in that case, Wallace says they did get quite a few tips that lead to the arrest of an armed robber in another case.
Early Sunday morning, they say Jacob Futrell held up the Country Mart on Highway 11 near Bethel and also stole a flat screen TV from the trucker's lounge. He was arrested within 30 minutes.
Meantime, on Tuesday, the Barean Baptist Church outside of Ayden was being broken into and within a few minutes deputies had suspects in custody.
Two people were shot at a party celebrating the Labor Day holiday weekend.
According to the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, the shooting took place at 6127 Stantonsburg Road in Farmville.
The PCSO responded at 3:50 a.m., finding Travails McMillian and Chavier Harris both wounded. McMillan was shot 3 times, and Harris was shot once.
According to one of the people who hosted the party, there were between 75 to 100 guests present. However, authorities have no known suspects, type of gun used, or cause of the shooting at this time.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. If anyone has information, please call Crime Stoppers at (252)758-7777 or the PCSO AT (252) 830-4141.
McMillian and Harris were taken to Vidant Medical Center and both had surgery Saturday morning.
