Two People Safe, But Homeless After Overnight Fire

Fire crews say two people are safe Monday morning, but homeless, after fire destroyed their mobile home.

According to the Jacksonville Daily News...the Swansboro Fire Department was called to the home on Seashore Drive around 8:30 Saturday. The paper quotes Fire Marshal Brian Kelly as saying "because it was a mobile home, we are considering it to be a total loss, but the fire was not extensive."

Kelly says while the fire remains under investigation, it was mostly confined to one room. The American Red Cross is helping the family.
