A man came home from a weekend vacation to find more than a dozen firearms missing from his home. Now two people have been charged in the case.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says Cameron Campbell and Vince Hodges, both of Washington, are responsible for breaking into a detached garage at a home in Greenville last week.
About 20 firearms, including rifles, shotguns and assault weapons were taken from a safe. The sheriff's office says more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition were also missing.
Deputies say the men sold some of the firearms, which is what helped authorities track the two down. Most of what was stolen has been recovered.
