Two Airports End Flights Due To Winter Storm

The winter weather is impacting air travel here in Eastern Carolina.

At the Pitt-Greenville Airport the last flight out was at 2:30 p.m., while the 7:00 a.m. flight out Wednesday morning has been cancelled. The airport expects flights after that 7:00 a.m. departure to resume their normal schedule.

Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern says the US Airways flight at 2:00 p.m. was their last flight out Tuesday. The airport says it is likely the first three flights Wednesday morning will be cancelled.

At Albert Ellis Airport in Jacksonville the airport has remained open. The airport says airlines will make their decisions about flights based on safety as conditions changes.
