Tropical Storm Lorenzo Moving Away From United States

The 12th named storm of the tropical season formed in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday. Tropical Storm Lorenzo was located about 1600 miles east-southeast of Atlantic Beach Tuesday evening. Sustained winds were estimated at 50 mph as the storm moved slowly to the east and northeast between 5 and 10 mph. The storm is expected to weaken by Thursday and Friday. Lorenzo will continue to move slowly northeast and will not threaten the United States.
