Tree Planted In Honor Of Riverside High Teacher Assistant Who Died Last Year

Riverside High School in Williamston gave a touching tribute with a tree dedication for a teaching assistant that passed away last year, Brenda White.

We're told White worked for Martin County Schools since 1995 until her death in February of 2012.

A tree is an October Glory Maple and sits outside the vocational building at the school. Michael Bennett and his Future Farmers of America group helped plant the tree in her honor and the Modern Woodmen of America purchased it.
