Timing, Totals, Severe Weather Threat and Your Workweek Outlook

The heaviest showers moved in early this morning, but on and of rain will still be possible through the remainder of the day. Highs this afternoon will top out at around 50° with plenty of cloud cover keeping eastern Carolina cool. Totals from Sunday's rain will be higher south of 264 and could push over an 1"; north of 264 expect rainfall totals between .25" and .5"

Timing:
Afternoon through 5pm (breaks in the rain at times)
A lingering shower possible Monday morning

Rainfall Totals:
On average most locations will receive less than .75" of rain with highest totals south of 264

Severe Wx Threat:
Very low. Temperatures will not be warm enough to support any severe weather with this system. Thunder maybe heard at times, but in general just a rain event today.

Workweek Outlook:
After a small chance of showers on Tuesday, a drying trend will also lead to warmer afternoons Wednesday through Saturday.
