Three Teens Charged In Coin Machine Thefts

Three teens have been charged after police say they broke into vending machines at an apartment complex laundry area.

Greenville police say they received a report of a break-in in progress at Landmark Apartments on East 5th Street around 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Officers say they confronted 19-year-old Kasmiir Massey as he was trying to run from the area.

Police say after further investigation they were able to arrest two more people, 16-year-old Dillion Manning and 18-year-old Akia Little, both of Greenville.

Officers believe the three broke in and damaged two commercial washing machines, doing about $1,000 damage, and stealing an unknown amount of money.

Each of the trio is charged with 2 counts of breaking into coin operated machines, while Little is also charged with damage to property. Massey and Little were jailed under $5000 secured bonds. Manning received a $7500 secured bond.
