Three Men Arrested After Search Turns Up Drugs, Guns, Abused Dog

An abused dog, drugs and guns are all seized from an apartment and now police say three people are facing charges.

Numerous complaints from the public led Greenville Police to check on 314 Kristin Drive on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from Apartment B.

Police say a search of the home turned up crack cocaine, marijuana, loaded guns, and a significant amount of ammunition. Officers say they also found a young pit bull puppy with its ears cut off. The dog is now in the care of Animal Control and is expected to make a full recovery.

Three Greenville residents have been arrested for the crimes. Police say 44-year-old Delanta McGregory, 19-year-old David Howard, and 24-year-old Aaron Hatcher are each facing drug charges. Hatcher, who police say has known gang ties, is also charged with felony animal abuse.
