Three people were injured and a busy intersection was clogged Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle crash.
Kinston police say the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 11 and Cunningham Road.
An SUV was heading east on Cunningham and trying to turn north onto Highway 11, when police say it didn't yield to a box truck than was westbound on Cunningham.
Two people in the truck, and the driver of the SUV were taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital with what was described as not serious injuries.
The SUV was driven by 56-year-old Edward Bunch, Jr., while the truck was operated by 37-year-old Dontario Wilson.
Police say charges in the accident are pending.
