TRAFFIC ALERT: Tractor Trailer Jack-Knifed, Road Now Re-Opened

The DOT said a road was closed more than two hours Monday after a tractor trailer crash.

The DOT said at 4:04 a.m. on Monday, NC-581 closed two lanes of the road as crews worked to cleared a jack-knifed tractor trailer.

No word yet from the Highway Patrol on any injuries or charges.

The road was re-opened at 6:21 a.m. Monday near Peachtree Hills Road.

The DOT says a jack-knifed tractor trailer has prompted a road closure.

Dispatchers say a trooper was called to NC-581 in Nash County early Monday morning as part of the highway is closed near Spring Hope and Peachtree Hills Road.

The DOT said a tractor trailer jack-knifed, but had no further information.

No word yet on injuries.

The DOT said both lanes of the road would likely be closed until 6 a.m. on Monday.
