Surveillance Video Released In Sunday Robbery, Pistol Whipping

Police are looking for help in identifying several people involved in an armed robbery outside a Greenville convenience store where the victim was pistol whipped.

It happened Sunday around 2:30 a.m. at the Kangaroo at 700 South Memorial Drive.

Police say the victim told them while he was pumping gas two men approached him, one who was armed with a chrome handgun. They ordered him to empty his pockets, struck him across the face with the handgun and then robbed. The two then went into his car, looking for other things to steal.

One of the robbers went into the store before the holdup with a girl who was in one of the getaway cars. That man was wearing a gray-stripped shirt and dark cap.

Anyone with information on this case should call Greenville police at 252-329-4315.
