Greenville police have released surveillance pictures of a man they say robbed a customer at a convenience store last week.
It happened at the Kangaroo Express on South Memorial Drive on Thursday. The victim said he sat his money on the counter to pay for gas and a man came up from behind and took the money off the counter. The victim tried to stop the robber, but police say he pulled a knife and threatened the man.
The robber ran towards Sterling Pointe and police say he got away with $40.
He is described as a black man in his late 40s, wearing a dirty white t-shirt, blue jeans, tan timberland boots and a faded black ball cap.
Anyone who can identify the man should call Greenville police at 252-329-4302 or CrimeStoppers at 252-758-7777.
