On and off quick downpours will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Heavier rain could bring another 1 to 3 inches of rain to a few locations late Sunday and into Monday afternoon.
Little change in the weather pattern is expected on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will hit the upper 80s to lower 90s inland and lower 80s on the beaches. A light southwesterly breeze and lots of sunshine will accompany the heat.
A cold front will slowly approach the area by late Thursday causing an increase in cloud cover and better chance for showers and storms by evening. Some of the storms could be strong or severe Thursday night. The showers will gradually end from west to east on Friday. Clearing skies with highs in the 70s are on tap for the weekend.
